Hi Walter! There is definitely a void in leadership but I am inspired that each of us has the power to change that as we stand up and demonstrate leadership in our own lives. We all know what happens when good men (and women) do nothing. :-)

Wendi, I loved this line" "that's OK , I go where the good Lord needs me." Amen sister! LOL! The homeowners story is harrowing but what I know of you, not at all surprised that you stood your ground. It's interesting as I read that it made me think of our country as a whole. Your situation happens on a large scale everyday, the elite few fight to hold on to what is best for them while the majority struggle for a little bit of equality.

Andrew, I have watched you demonstrate leadership in so many ways. Your strength of conviction and integrity were immediately obvious to me. Even though you are not the "out front" type (yes I can tell) you have quiet leadership that shows up in everything you do.

I agree with you about political leadership. Very tough when there are so many complex decisions and there is nothing you can ever do that will make everyone happy.
